Angle Measurement

Angle measurement tool — measure angles from photos or between surfaces using device sensors.

How to use

Measure angles in two ways: tap 3 points on a photo, or use your device's sensors to measure the angle between two physical surfaces.

  1. 1

    From Photo — Upload image

    Take a photo or upload an image containing the angle you want to measure.

  2. 2

    From Photo — Tap 3 points

    Point 1: first side. Point 2: corner (vertex). Point 3: second side. Angle is measured at Point 2.

  3. 3

    From Photo — Read result

    The angle is displayed on the image. Tap "Reset Points" to try again.

  4. 4

    From Device — Enable sensors

    Switch to "From Device" tab and grant sensor access.

  5. 5

    From Device — Record surfaces

    Place phone on Surface A → "Record". Then Surface B → "Record". Angle is calculated.

Tips

  • For photo mode: zoom in on the corner for more precise point placement.
  • Point order matters: 1st = side A, 2nd = corner, 3rd = side B.
  • Device mode works for roof pitch, ramp angles, or dihedral angles.

  • Photo mode: any device with a browser
  • Device mode: device with gyroscope/accelerometer
